just posting old pictures to make up for lost time!
i took the girlies to see the 1D movie that was in theatres, aka: they filmed the concert and put it in theatres for all the suckers that didn't see a live performance, or wanted to relive the experience.
in our case, it was nice to see what we missed...since we left the actual event halfway through.
ugh. i am a fan.
(secret sidenote: i can't wait for melissa and i to give the girlz their presents this year...!!!!)

henry is in speech therapy here in Jacksonville.
he loves it and we love it.
we go in for an eval for occupational therapy and hopefully we will love her too :)
he's also been watching lots of football with daddy....
....and has upgraded to a big boy bed - MY old big girl bed :). It's seen better days, but it serves the purpose for now.
(please ignore the dirty bedrails - they were free and will be cleaned pronto)
(also, this bed used to be a four-poster with a canopy. sigh. I loved that bed.)
all in all, henry has had a great month!

how awesome is her hair?!

life has been crazy. the last few weeks were harvest, harvest, class, work, harvest. we went straight from work to lucille's and then home in time for bath and bed.
we had a "free" day on sunday that i spent mowing the lawn (better be for the last time this year!!!!!!!!!!), cleaning out my car and doing mounds of laundry.
we also threw in a quick trip to denver to (finally) meet baby kate, who is beyond precious, and a little bit of volunteerism at the pumpkin festival this weekend with hallie.
so now things feel more manageable. i mean, laundry is still out of control, but the yard looks good and my car is clean. and i've finally  met my niece.

friday would have been mike's 60th birthday. it was a hard day, but was a fun night. it got pretty stupid there at the end, which he would have loved.
his son especially, he would have gotten a kick out. actually, both of his kids were in rare form. it was hilarious. HILARIOUS.
driving dave home was the opposite of hilarious. but that's not a story for this blog.
he played drums with madd hoss, and did a beautiful job.
and guitar too? with lots of crazy feedback at the end. such a rockstar.
and then he played drums with Kentucky Headhunters. and some air guitar too. and commandeered the microphone quite a bit.
and we enjoyed good, good friends and family who came out to celebrate mike's birthday.
he was missed. he should have been on stage playing guitar and laughing at dave. he should have done the talk box weird thing on rocky mountain way.
they brought us all out on stage, mason sound guys and family and dave was supposed to say something appropriately sad and poignant....but that's not how dave rolls.
and anyway, it was a great night.
the end.

all is well. the end.
